Ever since I was a child, I enjoyed helping others. As I grew older, I realized I was fascinated by
people's stories and loved hearing about their life experiences. I soon realized that my heart was
leading me to be a Therapist. I received my B.A. in Social Work and English, then pursued my
Masters of Social Work at Baylor University. Since my time at Baylor, I worked at a community
health center, and in private practice, seeing clients with all sorts of different life experiences. I also received my Teaching Certification and was a teacher before joining Rein Center.
My areas of specialization are:
Adjustment (divorce, relocation, changes in the family, etc.)
Adoption (birth families, adoptive families, adopted children)
Grief and loss
Job-related stress and anxiety (Teachers, EMTs, Doctors, Police Officers/Firefighters, etc)
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (for trauma),
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and
Trauma Informed Care.
Some stories are funny and happy, but others are more difficult to share. Sometimes events in our lives leave us in pieces and we don’t know what to do or who we can trust with our stories. And, sometimes, we just need someone to vent to and talk to about what it is we are dealing with. I want you to know, that I would love to hear your stories and help you on your journey to healing and peace.
Through my experience listening to others' stories, I've come to realize that on the outside,
people might look like they are doing great, but on the inside, they might be struggling with just
trying to get through the day. Whatever it is you're dealing with, I would love to help you find
healing and peace through the pieces that life has left you in.
